there are programs i did not open running some how. How can I access them to shut off and delete. They came with this computer , not brand new
You can use the Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) to see which programs
are running in your computer and can end them with it.
To prevent them from running at startup, check in the options menu of
the programs for an option to disable their running on boot up, also
you can go to Start > Run > msconfig
Startup tab and uncheck their entries from there.
Additionally, Look in the C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up and C:\Documents and
Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\Start Up folders, and in the
system registry, primarily in the
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run keys.
