This symptom can be caused by a long list of issues. It might be helpfull to
first determine if the problem is caused by software or hardware. Is this
installation an upgrade? Does Task Manager's Process tab indicate an
application using too many time cycles? Is antivirus recent? Is hardware W2K
compatible? Is software W2K compatible? Any Event log errors?
