Slow printing with XP SP2 on a Windows ME shared printer

Hi,

I have a small Ethernet network with 2 XP Pro computers and a Windows ME
laptop.

There is a HP LaserJet 3330 printer atatched to the Windows ME laptop on the
parallel port. The printer is shared.

The problem is that I can print fine from one XP computer (SP1) but on the
other it is real slow since I installed SP2. It can take up to 8 minutes to
print a document, either PDF, DOC or XLS. It was fine before SP2.

Any ideas ?

I used "net use lpt2 \\server\printer /persistent:yes" and installed a local
printer instead of a network printer and it prints normally.
