Slow printing with a receipt printer

Sorry if this isnt the right place for it, but there are lots o
knowledgeable ppl here that can prob help.

I have a receipt printer, Axiohm 716, that i cant get to print fast. i
seems to prnt line by line. it does this with all windows apps. if
use dos its really fast.

I have tired fiddling with the setting with no help.
Any1 got any ideas
