Slow outlook response time.

Marcus

Hi,

For the past week Outlook has been running extremely slow. Most noticeable
when moving through inbox - delete one email and read the next but have to
wait up to 1 minute before next selected screens contents on RHS of screen.

Formerly this process was virtually instantaneous - example below shows
email from Andrew selected but previously accepted schedule from Jim still on
screen where it remained for a timed 57 seconds.

Thanks,

PS

You should include in your message what version of Outlook you
are using.

I will include the information I usually send to someone using Outlook
2002 and above:

1.. Turn off "instant messaging" Q290025 (See quick instructions below)
2.. Uncheck all planner options per article Q324374 (See quick Info below)
3.. Turn off SPEECH RECOGNITION

Messaging Enabled

Remove the link between Outlook 2002 and MSN Messenger, perform the
following steps:

1. Start Outlook.
2. From the Tools menu, select Options.
3. Select the Other tab.
4. Clear the "Enable Instant Messaging in Microsoft Outlook" check box in
the Instant Messaging section, then click OK.
5. Close and restart Outlook for the change to take effect.

Hi Nikki,

Thanks for your response but the problem seems to have been resolved now on
it's own. Not sure what the issue would have been but we're using Outlook 03.

Thank you for the update. This sounds like a possible networking
issue.
