slow mail

My windows mail is very slow at the moment. I can still send and receive, but
it takes for ages. Also when i try to read any mail, or delete, i get the
same. As the messages are deleted, there seems to be a big delay in anything
happening, plus the message is still there for a few seconds after it has
been deleted. It has only been a problem since the last set of updates were
installed.

Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features, View Installed Updates,
click on the most recent update (KB931768) and uninstall it.
This is only for those who are experiencing the significant slowdown.

Done that, everything back to normal. Many thanx !. Is there an issue with
KB931768 that is being addressed ?.

Are you running Spybot Search and Destroy? If so,
read Richard Urban's post "KB931768 problem - ***solved***"

Quick answer:

Go to Tools, Windows Calendar and click on it. Close it again and then try
opening other mail etc. I don't know why but it works. Everything is now
back to a good speed with WM.

Unfortunately I cannot find Richards post on my server anymore. Since you are posting with that awful CDO (Web)interface it is quite hard for you also to find it,
Maybe someone that still has Richards post will come back her and post it for you.
Meanwhile have you tried to uninstall that Update and then try and re-install it manually with your AV disabled.
