Slow Login

I have a Windows 2000 server with SP4 and a Windows XP
Pro workstation. About 90% of the time the XP system
will hang displaying "Applying Computer Settings" when
logging into the server. It takes around 5 minutes for
the message to go away and the login to finish. All
works well after that. I am running local DNS, DHCP and
WINS services. The DNS has a forward lookup for the
Comcast DNS servers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Check the ipconfig/all on the client. Does everything point to the
server-IP?
