slow login

Hello group,

We have several Win2k servers and a variety of
workstations- most are XP Pro or Win2k, but we do have one
or two Win98 machines around.

My question is this: we seem to have random users who have
slow to very slow login functions. There doesn't seem to
be any ryme or reason for this and we have deleted and
remade user profiles.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we might be
able to trouble shoot this?

Check the ipconfig/all on the clients. Does everything point to the
server-IP? Do you have WINS installed on the server and options 044 and 046
(0x8) in DHCP-server, Scope options?
