Slow Login to Domain

I have an laptop with XP on it and we just migrated over to 2003 domain from
nt4 and ever since this machine takes at least 5 minutes from entering your
password to getting past the logging in...etc to windows. I tried the
"Always wait for the network at computer startup and login" to enabled but
all that did was make it take 5 minutes to come up to Login Window. Any
suggestions as to why this machine is taking so long, didn't do this till
the new domain and I've checked the dns setting etc.. they are correct.
Thanks

It does sound like a DNS problem. Are there any differences between ipconfig
/all on this machine and another that logs in OK? Are you using roaming
profiles or redirecting My Documents in any way?

Ensure that you have good DNS name resolution in your environment.
All Windows XP clients should point to an internal DNS server that is
authoritative for the domain.

If that is OK, then you might want to enable UserEnv logging
and take a network trace to see where the delay is:

I'll triple check those dns settings but I'm almost positive I've checked
several time. Not using roaming profiles or anything.
