Slow login times

Hi all,

Looking for a little help here with slow login times that i believe
are caused by the loading/application of group policy. I have a
variety of computers on the network mostly Dells with a handful of
white boxes that we still have hanging around. Now the Dells all have
gigabyte network cards and are better equiped processor wise then the
white boxes which have 1 gig processors with 256 megs of ram and 10/100
network cards. The Dells have no problems with login times, however
the white boxes take anywhere from 15-20 minutes to login. As you can
imagine this is a bit of a pain. Now is this just because they are
older machines with slower network cards or is this a problem with the
application of group policy. Is there anyway to check/verify this?
The server is a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition and we are
using roaming profiles in case you needed to know.

Thanks

Grant

My first question would be do the white boxes point to the same DNS server
as the Dells?
