Slow Joining Win2000 Domain

Hi,

We have a problem, which isn't serious, but more of a pain in the butt!
If we join a Win2000 workstation, to our 2000 domain, it can take upto 2
minutes before it'll pop up and say 'welcome to the domain'. But if we join
an NT4 workstation to the domain, it does it almost instantly.

Is there a setting that needs changing somewhere to speed up the process for
Win2000?

Cheers

Ben

Windows 2000 uses first DNS to locate DC to join the domain. If it fails, it
uses NetBios, which apparently succeeds. In your place I would check DNS
settings on workstations/servers, so that they are pointing to internal DNS
server.
