slow internet

I have a dial up connection with freeserve, and until recently, everything
was running fine. at the moment, when i use internet explorer and outlook
express, it takes ages for the sites to load up. sometimes IE returns "this
page cannot be displayed" and occurs on a refresh and does this several
times. outlook also finds it extremely difficult to access my hotmail
server. i have had no problems like this before, so why should it start now?
i have avg antivirus software that says i have not been infected with a
virus. i also have zonealarm firewall running. there was a virus released
yesterday, blast32worm or something, and i checked and have not been
infected.

all updates correct for windows and software.

any ideas as to why things are so slow would be most appreciated,

phil

Hi

Clear the cache of Internet explorer and if you browse
the internet frequently then increase the size of your
browser cache. to do that click on Tools | Internet
options and choose file settings. in the pop up window
increase the size of the cache by sliding the bar.
