slow internet

I have Earthlink total Access 2004 and Microsoft Internet
Explorer 6.0. When I browse on the web, my download time
gets longer and longer until it is unusable. I recently
installed windows XP. I have a pentium IV 2.66 and
plenty of memory. Is there something I can tweak to
solve this problem? It just keeps getting slower and
slower.

You could try uninstalling TCP/IP and then reinstalling
it.
