When I first load internet explorer, it takes 10-15 seconds for the window to
open up. Clicking on links and opening subsequent windows takes normal time.
This sounds a lot like the situation described in KB906650
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/906650/en-us). My version of Dhcpcsvc.dll
is older than the version showed in the KB article.
I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 with 2.0Ghz processor, 512MB RAM, and large
virtual memory files split across two hard drives.
Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know a workaround or a way to
get the hotfix without paying for a service call?
