Slow File Save

Windows 2000 Server and Windows XP workstations in a TCP/IP DHCP environment
We upgraded an NT workstation to XP and installed a new XP workstation
Both XP workstations take four times as long to save a file to the file server as the Windows NT workstations.
My XP users are telling others about their issues and not to move to Win XP.
Please - can someone help me look for items that will cause XP to be so slow?

Thanks, Lucy

1. Check cables
2. Check drivers
3. Monitor the connections
It's most likely a network problem.
