Help,

My PC is saving and serching through folders extremely
slowly. I have looked in the event viewer and there is an
error diplayed each time I perfom an action which
reads "Event Type: Error
Event Source: EventLog
Event Category: None
Event ID: 6004
Date: 31/08/2004
Time: 08:31:27
User: N/A
Computer: NIC
Description:
A driver packet received from the I/O subsystem was
invalid. The data is the packet.
Data:

Followed by a list of numbers.

I believe that I may have lost or corrupted a file due to
a virus. Can anyone help me out with what I need to do?

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
it seldom happens that one of the 3 server start to lof this error
and lose network connectivity and response ability.
the data part of the error tells:
mrxsmb\device\lanmanredirector\ <name of domain> netbt_tcpip_ <mac address
of the nic>
there's no other way than to give a reset to the pc.
i have a 3com 980c-txm and in 3com kb i found that it's supported by win2003
before it wan in a win2000 server and wa regularly working.
any idea?
