I just got a 120 GB drive that I am using. My system used to have a 40 GB
drive with XP on it and a 60 GB drive I used for digital video.
I just installed the 120 GB (partition F and G) drive and while I was at it,
I removed the 40 GB drive and now have the 60 GB (partitions C, D and E) as
the drive with XP on it.
I noticed after installing SP1, when I use Windows Explorer to access any
partition on the 120 GB drive (F or G), there is about a 20 second pause
before the list of folders is displayed in Windows Explorer. Before I put
on SP1, the drive acted normally and it would bring up the folders in a
split second. The pause only occurs once when the drive is first selected
but happens each time I start Windows Explorer and even if I have multiple
instances of it open, each one will show this problem.
Anyone have any idea of what is causing this or how to fix it? I have tried
using sfc but that didn't help.
Thanks,
Dave
