i accidentally removed a program from the add/remove
programs called KBD and now my computer is running really
slowly. how do i re-install it?

Reinstall your keyboard.

KBD.EXE installs with HP Netropa Multimedia Keyboards. It
supports hotkey functions. On some systems, this file
uses all available system resources. If experiencing
resource problems or crashes, the file can be removed or
disabled. Doing so will disable hotkey functions.

Rumor has it that this is HP Adware and is used to
collect information that is transmitted back to Hewlett
Packard. To date, this rumor seems to be unfounded
