slow computer

I have an e machine 270 and it is runnig very slow. I
have set up misconfig to open only a selcted number of
items but it has made no difference

Hi,

Try running XP in Safemode and see if it is still very
slow. If not, you have installed something that is slowing
it down - see below.

Try opening TaskManager (right click your task bar or hit
Ctrl+ALt+Del) and see if a particular process is hogging
loads of CPU or memory. Then search for the process name
(e.g. winword.exe) on your computer to get an idea of what
it is.
