slow boot up

windows xp is taking 4 mins to book up. it has been
installed about 3 months. at first it would boot up
quickly. it gets slower and slower

The only solution is do a clean install of XP - and stop installing lots of
crappy little programs that leave their clutter all over your system.
Defragging doesn't help.

I recently did a clean install (after about six months use) and my boot time
went down from 4 minutes to less than one. My PC is currently running like a
bullet.
