slow boot after sp4 update

We have compaq desktops end we have upgraded win2000(nl)
to sp4.
Since then some computers have a still when the compaq
window appears of 15 minutes, then the <ctr-alt-del>
window comes up.....

anyone an idea????

Do these computers have trouble browsing the network once they eventually
come up? Are there any events in the System event log which might indicate
the source of the delay? Did you have anti-virus running when you installed
the service pack? If so, you might want to roll the service pack back on one
of these machines, and then reinstall it with the anti-virus software
disabled.
