Slideshow with effects?

Hello,

is there any freeware slideshow program (for Win98) available with
some "special effects"? What I´m looking for is a small program
which can generate a slide show in different styles and effects of
changing the pictures (*.jpg) from one to the next. I had such a
program a few years ago which was from Canada and the pictures was
stored as *.sfw (as long as I remember). Unfortunately I don´t
remeber the name and it wasn´t freeware too if I´m right.

Normally I use Irfanview for all my pictures but the programs
slideshow doesn´t match my requirement in this case. Maybe there
is a plug-in available for Irfanview, which I would prefer.

The effects should be like in a presentation made with MS Powerpoint,
but using the original pictures in jpg-format and in a simple way.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

PhotoCDBrowser 2.95 on ListSoft.com
or
Download PhotoCDBrowser FREE

This software is controlled by an .inf file. The specifications or effects
desired result from the .inf file.
The resulting slideshow can run on the computer or be burned to a cd.

Jpegger is another viewer slideshow type but I don't think it has quite the
same 'interesting effects' as the PhotoCDBrowser.

Well, I do well and truly dislike Real Audio, but searching around I
stumbled on the following. The hitsquad site says it's a freeware but
it's no longer available on the realaudio site.

Download here

From the help file
"Welcome to RealSlideshow G2 from RealNetworks. RealSlideshow allows
you to convert basic image files into streaming media presentations
for use on the World Wide Web or a corporate Intranet. Combining
RealPix™ with RealAudio® opens up a whole new dimension to your
images."

Thnx to the Van Nung Institute of Technology for keeping this gem
alive.)

XATSHOW

A freeware slideshow and screensaver program. Music files can be included.
(Note: The downloadable file is for the shareware version, which reverts to
the excellent freeware version after a trial period)
