sleep(?) mode

I have a machine that keeps saying "I'm going to sleep
now" & turns itself off! Usually I'm in an Office program
like WORD or Excel. Any answers?

I would check two things in Control Panel:

1. Under Power Options, make sure the selected scheme is "Always On" and
that both monitor and hard drives are set to "Never".

2. Make sure you don't have anything associated with sleeping or
hibernating under Scheduled Tasks.

I would run Computer Management from Administrative Tools and check
the -SystemInformation-Software Environment-Startup Programs folder and make
sure I knew the purpose of every program listed there.

I hope this gets you closer to a solution.
