sleep mode

I have a client who has a compaq with windows 2000 that
accidently touched the "sleep" button on her keyboard.
The computer will not "wake up" and she cannot go to F8.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

If you are still seeing this issue, short of removing the battery, I would try holding the power button for over 5 Seconds to see if it just shuts itself off, instead of sleep mode

You also might want to update the BIOS to allow for correct sleep/shutdown activity
