Sizing open windows

Can someone please tell me why oh why will windows not remain the size one
wants them?????

in 3.1 the windows stayed open and the size you wanted them to remain.....
now it seems that no matter what happens a window will not remain the size I
want.

Even in the shortcut properties I ask for a window to be maximised yet it
still won't do it.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

In Folder Options, put a check mark against "Remember each folder's view
settings".

Are you just talking about Windows Explorer or about program windows in
general? Programs can do whatever they like when they open usually.

Hi Mike,

In particular IE6....... seems to have mind of its own !
