Size of new windows opening

When I open IE, I never know what size the window will be. Sometimes it will
be full size, other times it will be smaller and anywhere on the screen. I
read in one post that as long as you closed the window full sized, it would
open the same....not so. Any help would be appreciated.

You seem to have misread the information.
If by "full sized", you mean Maximized, then IE6 does not remember
that.

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.
