Size of incoming attachments on Outlook 2003

When I receive Word attachments in Outlook 2003, if they are over a certain
size, about 50KB, the attachment is broken into parts and put into MIME
format. This had never been a problem until yesterday when I was receiving
an unsolicited and very large set of photos. To prevent getting such large
attachments in the future, I went to the Outlook help menu and did something.
But I can't recall what I did, and I can't find any way to undo it. Even
my computer consultant is stumped. I will appreciate any suggestions.

If I understand your post correctly, message splitting is controlled by the
sending application/user and not the recipient. If you where the one
sending in Outlook 2003 and it is showing up on the other side this way,
then you would go to Tools > E-Mail Accounts > View/Change an existing
account > highlight your pop3/imap account and select Modify button. Select
Advanced options and then last tab I believe will have something about
splitting a message over a given size.
