SIZE OF EXCEL SHEET

Dear all,
I have an excel which is required a long time to open.
When I press "Ctrl End", it goes to the rows 60000. But
actually, it just has 100 rows with data. I tried to
delete those unused rows & hope to make the excel file
smaller. But I find that it always treats it with 60000
rows when I press "ctrl-end". Please advise how to make it
smaller?
