how big can a database go up to, i have 1 that is currently 40Mb, would i
need to make a new database soon??

You have a long way to go yet. The maximum size of an Access 2000, or later,
file is 2GB (for A97 and earlier it's 1GB).

Are you regularly Compacting (tools... database utilities... compact
and repair)?

If so, you can store fifty times as much data as you currently have
before you hit the 2GByte (2048 MByte) size limit.

If not... do so; and you'll be able to store even more.

ok thank you, i regularly use the compact and repair tool, thanks anyway
