I've noticed that some web pages display in what I would
call a condensed mode, meaning that they do not use all
of the viewable area on the screen. Is there a setting
that can correct this? Otherwise, I have to find my
magnifying glass. I have windows xp on a notebook
computer. IE6. Thanks a lot.

No. It is a designer decision, over which you have no control.
