Size and location of windows

For some reason when I open a new window the new window
opens with only part of the window showing on the screen
and the right side off the screen or the window opens
with a narrow view (ie 1/3 wide)and I have to manually
maximize the screen. How can I fix this

Using your mouse, stretch the window to whatever size you want then click on
File and then Close. This works for OE, IE and Windows Explorer.

It will also work for most other commercial applications that save their
state upon closing.
