single spacing

Don't know if my first attempt succeeded. Am trying to permanently set Word
to single space even if a line does not reach the right hand margin. In
other words, even if I only type two words on a line, then hit enter, I want
the document to single space. How do I do that permanently?

There are a couple of answers to your identical post in the newusers
newsgroup. My suggestion is that you need to format the paragraph in the
normal.style so that it is left aligned.
