Single file won't print

I have an Excel worksheet that won't print. Others will as will Word and
other app docs. When instructed to 'print' the messages are all there
however, the file never gets to the printer even though the indications all
says it does. I checked something somewhere but can't re-find it.

Thanks, but no joy. I checked to make sure and 'print to: printer' is
selected. I'm still lost.

Sometimes, developers can try to stop you from printing.

Try opening your workbook with macros disabled and see if that helps.

(Did you mean all the worksheets in a specific workbook or just one troublesome
in a specific workbook?)

Yeah, I guess I wasn't too clear. I have the print problem only with a
'workbook' file rather than a worksheet. I can open other workbook file that
will print as well as Word file, etc. I have tried copying the contents of the
worksheet to a new workbook file worksheet - no joy. The same thing happens.
There's something in this particular workbook/worksheet, but I can't find it.
I have other files that use the same macros (nothing complex), but not the
same organization. I guess I may have to recreate the whole thing over again.
It just acts like the application with this file doesn't register with the
printer - however, it says that it 'sees' the printer.

Thanks, Dave - any other ideas?

When you copied the worksheet to a new workbook, did you move/copy the entire
sheet?

Or did you copy the cells and then paste to the other sheet?

I still don't have a guess why it doesn't print, though.

Can you print successfully to a different printer?

Well Dave. I happened across the problem. By accident. It seems that in a
single cell I had selected a font variation that could not be handled with
the display software I am using - sooo Excel or Epson or MAC or whoever's in
charge down in some part of my computer's brain wouldn't print the document
even though it would tell me it would by giving me the 'printing' on screen
message but never show up at the printer. This was making me crazy!!

Thanks for posting back.

Now google has it for the next victim.

I've heard of fonts getting corrupted. If you can reinstall that font, maybe
it'll work ok for you.

(Or just use Arial and Courier New! <vbg>)
