Since install many bluescreen shutdowns

Tried AntiSpyware v1.0.701 for two months during which time I experienced
bluescreen shutdowns (some with restarts) almost everyday. I chased a lot of
possible issues and even reinstalled the system and the needed software. The
bluescreen message usually referred to memory caching or shadowing, the last
time it referred to protection software and suggested uninstalling it. I
uninstalled AntiSpyware today. This PC is the only machine I was trying it
on and I will try it again on a different PC if bluescreen shutdowns continue
on this PC. If anyone has seen this issue, drop a thread.

..701's only been available for about a week, so you've been on .615 for most
of those two months.

Low level drivers can cause crashes, and the shell execute hook used by
Microsoft Antispyware may qualify as such a driver. I haven't seen anything
of this sort on the 3 dozen machines or so I've used this beta on, but
experiences differ in a beta. Best way to find out is to take the beta off
the system and see if it straightens out and flies right.

Have been experiencing the same problem here.
AntiSpyWare up until .0701 was working fine, but after upgrading to the
current release bluescreens and resets on a daily basis, and no real
trend/pattern either.

Had no choice but to uninstall.
Where could I get hold of the previous release? or should I just sit tight
and await an update to .0701.

The previous build will expire on December 31, anyway, so it isn't worth
much effort. Last I looked, several download sites, including download.com
and tucows, apparently had older versions, based in the dates posted in
their HTML.

If any particular driver is referenced in your blue screen crashes, I'd be
interested in hearing what that is.

Thanks for that, I maybe snoop around for an older version.
As to a particular driver, unfortunatelt not, it seems to be jumping around
all over the place, even referenced win32k.sys at one point, and sometimes I
cant read it because the blue screen just flashes up just as the pc resets.

Anyway, i'm going to continue my investigation this end, with various
installs and uninstalls, to see if i can provide more detailed info.

Some blue-screen crashes are recorded in the system event log, so that may
be worth checking. Sometimes the system falls out from under faster than it
can write to the log, though!

The only hands-on case of this kind of crash I've got available crashes in
IDECHNDR (can't recall the suffix) which is a piece of an Intel accellerator
(caching) bit.

I was going to check into whether that was up to current version or not last
night, but the machine wouldn't wake on lan--probably crashed. It seems to
be fine once you reboot it, however-- it doesn't crash in use--just at
startup.

FYI you're not te only ones experiencing this issue, I too have suffered and
had to uninstall the latest version after daily BSOD. I will check my logs
when I get home from work and report back if I find anything useful!!
