Sims 2 Crashing - HELP!!

I have a Compaq Presario notebook with an ATI Radeon 345 graphics card and I
have a feeling this is what is causing The Sims 2 to crash during gameplay.
Compaq says this is not upgradable, is this true? Could the crashes be
caused by anything else?? I have already upgraded the RAM to 512mB and I
have plenty of room on my hard drive to play the game?????

HELP ME!!!

You cannot upgrade the graphics adaptor in a laptop the way you can a
desktop. You can upgrade a driver if the manufacturer has an upgrade
available, which in your case apparently is not the case. If The Sims 2 is
incompatible with your graphics adaptor, then I strongly suspect you are
stuck.
