Is there a simple way, in IE, of blocking e-mail that contains frames, gifs
and fancy formatting? That would get rid of 90% of the rubbish I receive
every day. It would be worth the risk of missing out on all those free
offers.

John, start with the message rules in Outlook Express. Write a couple and
use them. They may be enough for you. I use about 12 rules in my Outlook
Express and if I see email from my friends or containing certain words I can
direct them to where I want them. For example my club names go to the in
basket and free offers go to delete.

After that... look for a filter. I use SpamXpress... very low cost and very
effective. But you need to customize it for your personal situation.
