SIMPLE NETWORK.....NEED HELP

Hi,

I have two machines, xp-pro/2k-pro; I have a 10/100 hub
that is directly connected to my DSL router and the two
machines connected directly into the hub.

This is what I've done so far:
1. disabled my firewall
2. made sure both machines were on the same workgroup
and username
3. I enabled the guest account on both machines
4. enabled NetBIOS over TCP/IP
5. enabled Netbeui
6. made sure computer browser and server services were
started

The 2k pro machine will show itself in My Network Places
but the XP pro machine will not see anything. I cant
browse my network through either machine.

Would greatly appreciate all the help I can get.

Hi,

That didnt seem to work, I changed the username on the
win2k machine. Any other suggestions would be very
greatly appreciated.
