Simple Instructions for Networking?

Does anyone know where I could find some simple instructions for networking
my laptop and my desktop? Both are WinXP connected through a USB router. I
want to set this up so the laptop can print on my main printer and 'see' the
desktop. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Run the Network Setup Wizard on both computers, and tell it that they
connect to the Internet through a residential gateway. It will make
all the necessary settings, including sharing the printer.
