Simple File and Printing Sharing Not working

Ok, I've spent WAY too much time on this and need some help!

I have a 4 PC workgroup network (no domain or server). Three desktops and a
laptop. Two of the desktops and the laptop are running Win XP Home w/SP2
and all current updates. The other desktop in running Win XP Pro w/SP2 and
updates. All are connected via a NETGear Wireless 802.11g router. The two
Home Desktops use hard wired Ethernet ports. The Pro Desktop and the laptop
connect via WiFi wireless. All can connect to the Internet.

The Problem lies with File and Printer Sharing. The XP Pro machine will not
allow any of the other machines to connect or use it's printer.

All the other PC's can connect and share files and printers with each other,
and the Pro Box can connect to and share the Home PC files and printers.

I've checked the workgroup and pc names. Made sure "Simple File Sharing" is
enabled. Made sure that File and Printer Sharing is enabled and shared both
the hard drive and printer on the XP Box. Checked the Windows Firewall,
tried with it disabled and enabled with no difference. Uninstalled and
reinstalled the NIC. I've renamed assets, shared and unshared, rebooted
till I'm green in the face. XP Box still will not allow the other PCs to
connect or see it's printer. The error says the "\\XPPRO is not accessible.
You may not have permission to use the network resource. Contact the
administrator." Then says "The Network Path is Not found".

This setup used to work, but for the life of me I can not figure what is
blocking this. Oh, I'm running Norton AV (not internet security) and yes
I've tried it with Norton disabled. The only firewall is Windows Firewall.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
Gary

Robert, thanks for the try, but that had no effect. The sited article did
not even address Win XP, but I tried it any way. No change, so I tried a
bigger number. Still nothing. Went back to the original.
