The Outlook message date formats do not appear to include the minimal width,
apha date formats of the forms:

Sat Mar 11 2006, 11:25:03,
Sat 11 Mar 2006, 11:25:03,

Mar 11 2006, 11:25:03,
11 Mar 2006, 11:25:03,

I think there should be an obvious provision for specifying these even if
they are not
included in the standard option list. -- MLB

Control Panel->Regional Settings->Time. Change your format there to reflect
what you wish.

My reference was to the Outlook "Customize The Current View:
Messages\Format Columns\Received\Format:" dialog. The options appear to be
"best fit", and 15 preselected date formats. At first look, there is no
indication that any of these formats are determined by the Control Panel
setting. I did not attempt to confirm this impression. -- MLB
