Here's some pix that were taken on the last Saturday of 2006.

I'm not fond of Christmas time.

I was bored on this day and went walkabout with my camera.

Saw a beach there that I never even knew existed, real sand on the north shore of the Thames, small though it is.

This is a very poor area, the affluence sweeping London has not reached Silvertown and Woolwich yet so these pix show warts and all.

Fifteen to twenty years ago, this water was coloured green/brown/mud and little wilkdlife lived in the Thames.

Thanks to good measures, oxygenation, ceasation of pollution and all, the Thames in this area is actually looking blue and fishermen are pulling fish and eels from the Thames.

Here's pix:

Great pix Flopp's

You know I live less than 20 miles from the thames but I don't visit it that often, rode the woolwich ferry once many years ago with my dad when I was a kid..

Why is it called silvertown Flopp's, have often wondered that..
