Silly question

Hello,
I've upgraded my machine from Win98 SE to Win2000 Pro ,
actually when i press shut down, it shutting down then it
says (It's now safe to teun of your computer)so i have to
press the button in order to trun of the machine, how can
i configure my machine to shut down Automatically without
pressing the button (it was working with Win98 SE)

try looking in
Control Panel
Power applet
Advanced tab

see if there are any ACPI options in there

Check with your motherboard manufacturer to see if there are any updated
BIOS applicable to your machine
