signatures attach to the default account. help?

i am using outlook 2003 and i have 2 email accounts and 2 different
signatures that i have associated with each in the mail format / signatures
section. however, only the siganture for the default e-mail account shows up
when i compose a new message. i thought that by switching the account before
sending, the appropriate signature for that account would show up. it does
not, and the only way to get the different signature is to delete the default
one and attach the other or by changing the default account.
 
You must be using Word as your email editor to get that functionality. Tools | Options | Mail Format
