Signature with GIF animation

Can you add a GIF animation to a Signature files?

Using Outlook 2003
 
You should be able to add the gif to the signature but it is likely to be
stripped by many e-mail servers when you send it. I used to have an eye
that blinked at you that was in my signature and it worked for most people
when they received it.
