signature rule or action

I understand Outlook lets me choose a signature for different email accounts,
but I would like to create a rule to be applied to messages in my Inbox that
would autormatically choose the signature based upon the forwarding criteria
I set.

No. Rules are only for incoming mail. Just use the Insert, Signature menu in
the forwarded email. Set the default signature to NONE and you'll be able to
select whichever one you want in any acct.

Mary said that rules are only for incoming mail. She's wrong. Rules can be
applied to outgoing mail as well. I wasn't commenting on the original post
by Kari72, but then, I didn't quote any of that post in my reply, so that it
would be clear I was not responding to her (his?) post. Kari72 made a
suggestion to Microsoft and seemed to recognize that the described
functionality doesn't exist, since he (she?) didn't ask "how do I do this?"
Since she knows it's not available now and wasn't asking for a work-around,
there was no point in responding to the original post. Mary's post,
however, demanded a response because is was flat-out wrong. Clear enough
now?
