Signature only prints on first copy.

I have a single page form letter with a signature on it. When I print copies
(either one at a time or multiple) only the first copy will print the
signature. If I close Word and reopen, again only the first copy will print
the signature.
I have tried printing to different printers, reinstalling Office, and
updating with Service Pack 2 for Office 2003.

I am at a loss to figure this out. Can anyone help?
