signature lines becoming solid lines, why?

Everytime I try to type a signature line in legal documents, it automatically
types a complete line. I know that if I am quick enough I can backspace and
it gets rid of the "complete" line but if I am typing away and miss it then
it is impossible to delete it. I am sure that this is an automatic change in
my formatting but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone help? Also has anyone
found a reveal codes that is as good as the reveal codes in Word Perfect?

Go to Tools | AutoCorrect Options | Format As You Type and deselect Border
Lines. That should take care of it for you. I hope this was helpful to you.
