Signature in a reply message

Nicolas Macarez

Hi!

When I reply to a message, I want to include my own signature which is a
nice text with special fonts, colors and logo.
The problem is that the format which is applied to this signature is the
same as the format of the message which was sent to me (plain text for
example).

Is there a way to get the right format for the signature in this special
case?

My mail client is Microsoft Outlook 2003 SP2 (and Exchange 2003 SP2 mail
server...)

Help appreciated.

Hi Nicolas,

You must convert the message to HTML format (Format->HTML) and then insert
your signature (manually).

There are ways to do all these operations automatically if you do not wish
to do this every time you reply to an email that is not in HTML format. You
can either use a custom VBA script that you can write it yourself (if you
have programming knowledge) or you can find it on the internet. Another
method is to use add-ins. An example add-in for this case is Bells &
Whistles for Outlook (http://www.emailaddressmanager.com/productivity.html).

A plain text message can contain only .... plain text, no formatting.

only if you change the format of the message but that is not recommended.
It's better to compose a nice looking signature for use in plain text
messages.

Also,

Consider this: Does your recipient have the same fonts that you are putting
in your signature. If not, they will not see yours, only their default...
