signature font size problem

Afternoon folks

I have created a new signature through signature picker which is set to
font size10, however whenever I create a new email it comes up as font size
12.
When I reply to an email the signature is font size 10 as it should be.All
my defaults are set to size 10 regardless of font type, so why size 12 when
creating new mail only ?

Using Outlook/Office 2003 fully patched, on xp sp2, mail format is html.

Hmm, if you create a new (test) signature with font size 10, does the same
happen then? Are you using Arial as the default Font in both your HTML
format as in your signature?
