Sign In gets stuck

For a long time I was just reading. Recently found out I could not post.
Somehow got my Eaddress verified and posted twice. Then today again, after
changing to different discussion pages, AND signing in, page with Sign In
blinked off, and Sign In showed again and again. WHY of WHY?

This (microsoft.public.windows.vista.general) is a newsgroup; it can be read
and posted to with newsreaders (such as Outlook Express and Vista's
equivalen mail reader) and from web browsers. Without knowing how you are
accessing the newsgroup, people who read your message can't tell if they
have the knowledge to help you.

It's extremely easy to tell how the newsgroup was accessed. Note two
things:

1. His (her?) return address is (e-mail address removed).
That @discussions.microsoft.com tells you that the message was posted
from the web-based interface to this newsgroup.

2. Look at the headers of his (her?) message. It reads
X-Newsreader: Microsoft CDO for Windows 2000. That also makes it very
clear that the message comes from the web-based interface.

I hope you are right about its being extremely easy. I like 'official'
instructions, so I search my OE6 help, and find this in the index: 'headers,
viewing details about messages'. Sounds like exactly what I'm after, so I
choose it and get two topics found: 1) read your messages and 2) reply to a
newsgroup message. Of course, neither one mentions headers or gives any
clues about headers.

I'd appreciate any instructions you can give me to view these headers, or
instructions on how to force OE6's help to give me on-topic info about
headers.

at the moment vista generel discussions is all messed up accessing it is pot
luck for some people this has been going on for about 2 weeks people have
posted the problem but as yet no one has been able to say why the ie
inteface is not working properly in generel discusssions but is ok in other
groups at the moment i can only use this group through windows mail help and
support despite setting up mail as my newsreader .I think it will only get
fixed when one of the mvp's can't post a cutting reply to a linux fan

The absolutely horrible CDO NEVER "worked properly" it is and always
was an abomination. Use a newsreader, PLEASE!

Congratulations for winning "Most Ignorant Comment of the Week!"

Just press Ctrl-F3.
